Cave Paintings

Today the class used homemade paint made from mostly natural ingredients to create cave paintings of Ice Age animals.  This art lesson fits in well with our unit on Canada's First Peoples.  Below you will see a picture of our classroom cave with wooly mammoths, giant elk, bears, wooly rhinoceroses, horses, giant beavers, oxen, and smilodons displayed in the cave and a few close-ups of the individual student pieces.
